Japan-based Sumitomo Electric Industries Limited (manufacturer) and its subsidiary, Sumitomo Electric U.S.A., Inc. (supplier), have completed the pipe-type cable to cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable system retrofit replacement project in San Francisco, California. Prior to completion, the cable system passed all the relevant construction tests.
