The state-run Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) has completed the construction of the 400 kV Gilgel Gibe III-Sodo power transmission line project aimed to facilitate the evacuation of electricity generated from the 1,870 MW Gilgel Gibe III hydroelectric power plant has been completed.
