U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced more than USD1.8 billion funding for electric utility infrastructure projects in 25 states and one territory to improve service for more than 37,000 rural customers. Under this more than 6,500 miles (10,465 km) of transmission lines will be built.
