Xcel Energy has formed two subsidiaries - Xcel Energy Transmission Development Company (XETD) and Xcel Energy Southwest Transmission (XEST) - in the transmission segment to bid for the projects likely to be proposed by Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) in 2015.
