Xcel Energy has planned to spend about USD108.9 million on high voltage transmission line projects to boost reliability and capacity of the power sector of the eastern and northeastern Texas Panhandle, given the rising energy demand in the area resulting from growing economic activity. This investment is part of the “Power for the Plains”, transmission expansion initiative of the company.
