Zambia’s state-owned Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) has awarded State Nuclear Electric Power Planning Design and Research Institute Company Limited [a subsidiary of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) which in turn belongs to China’s State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC)] and Chinese TBEA Shenyang Electric Power Design Institute Company Limited [a subsidiary of Tebian Electric Apparatus (TBEA)] a contract for designing a 385-km-long transmission project in the country.
