Dutch-German transmission grid developer TenneT has put into operation SylWin1, the 864 MW high voltage direct current (HVDC) offshore grid connection linking the DanTysk, Sandbar and Butendiek wind farms located in the eastern North Sea, with Germany’s national grid.
