Developers [independent transmission company Trans-Elect along with Atlantic Grid Development (AGD) and renewable energy-focused investors like Good Energies and Google, and Japanese trading company Marubeni Corporation] of the Atlantic Wind Connection (AWC) project have awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works contract for the first phase of the project to global EPC company Bechtel and appointed France-based power equipment manufacturer Alstom as the technical advisor and equipment supplier for the project.
