Contract awarded for USD3 billion ADNOC-TAQA Lightning Project, Abu Dhabi

The joint venture (JV) of South Korean electric utility Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), French power utility Electricité de France (EDF) and Japanese electric utility Kyushu Electric Power Company (Kyushu EPCO) has awarded a USD3 billion contract to the consortium of Belgium’s Jan De Nul Group and South Korean Samsung C&T for a high voltage direct current (HVDC) cable installation and convertors package, for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)–Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) Lightning Project.
