French grid developer Réseau de Transport d'Electricité (RTE) has invited global bids for the supply and installation of 210 km long, 320 kV HVDC submarine cable and 30 km long, 320 kV HVDC underground cable for the 1,000 MW link between France and the United Kingdom.
