General Electric (GE) has received a USD200 million contract from Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), a subsidiary of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation, to deliver approximately 4 million smart meters from 2013 to 2021. The smart meters will allow ComEd to manage the energy demand and supply more efficiently.
