Investments in power transmission systems for evacuation of renewable energy generation in India have not kept pace with the rapid growth of renewable energy capacity in the past few years. While there is a need for huge investments in developing transmission systems associated with renewable energy capacity, the financial implications on state utilities due to uncertainty in investment recovery impedes investment in such systems.
