The Killdeer Mountain Alliance (KMA), a citizens' group committed to protection of the Killdeer Mountains of western North Dakota is requesting the Rural Utilities Service (RUS), an agency under US Department of Agriculture (DoA), to compel Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin Electric) to identify a new route for its Antelope Valley Station (AVS) to Neset Transmission Line Project, and avoid crossing about 8 miles (12.88 km) stretch of the project through the historic Killdeer Mountain battlefield.
