The government of Nova Scotia has approved expropriation of 57 properties in Cape Breton for the Maritime Link project proposed by NSP Maritime Link Incorporation (NSPML), a subsidiary of Emera Incorporation and an affiliate of Nova Scotia Power, for its Maritime Link Transmission Project.
