Oman’s high voltage grid developer, Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), has awarded contracts to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies—Larsen & Toubro (L&T); KEC International Limited; Bahwan Engineering Company; and Zawawi Powertech Engineering LLC—for the implementation of Phase 1 of the North–South Oman Interconnector Project (also known as the Rabt project), which aims to connect the country’s south and north electricity grids.
