Redondo Peninsula Energy (RPE), a consortium comprising MGen Power, Aboitiz Power Corporation and Taiwan Cogeneration International Corporation, has attained approval from the Philippines' Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for the construction of a 23 km long, 230 kV RPE-Castillejos double-circuit transmission line for the supply of power from its 600 MW coal-fired power plant located at Subic Bay Freeport, into the Luzon grid.
