Transelectrica, Romania's power grid operator, has signed a RON22.6 million contract with local companies Romelectro and Electromontaj Carpati for upgrading the 220/110 kV Barbosi substation in the southeastern county of Galati. The 20-month project would increase the safety of the facility and also reduce maintenance costs.
