Texas PUC approves 345 kV and 115 kV projects

The Texas Public Utility Commission (PUC) has issued preliminary orders approving the certificates of convenience and necessity (CCN) for the 345 kV Abernathy–Wadsworth Transmission Line Project and the proposed 345 kV Wadsworth–New Oliver–Farmland Transmission Line (WNF Line) in Lubbock and Lynn counties, as well as the 115 kV Southeast–New Oliver–Oliver Transmission Line (SNO Line) in Lubbock County.

Sharyland Utilities, L.P. (Sharyland) and the state-owned Lubbock Power and Light (LP&L) have filed a joint application with the Public Utility Commission (PUC) of Texas to acquire a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) for the proposed 345 kV Wadsworth–New Oliver–Farmland Transmission Line (WNF Line) in Lubbock and Lynn counties, as well as the 115 kV Southeast–New Oliver–Oliver Transmission Line (SNO Line) in Lubbock County.
