The US Department of Energy (DoE) will study the various alternative routes suggested for the Northern Pass Project proposed by two utilities, Hydro-Québec (HQ) and Northern Pass Transmission LLC [a joint utility of Northeast Utilities (NU) and NSTAR (now merged with NU)].
