State-owned power company Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has launched a global tender for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the 220 kV Kusma-New Butwal transmission line under the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Power System Expansion Project, which aims to increase electricity access, reduce power shortages and increase power export to India by strengthening grid transmission capacity in Nepal.
